The Triceratops Struggle in 104-58 Loss to #18 Niagara Community College

The Triceratops (7-14) faced another tough outing on February 1st, falling 104-58 to the #18 Thunder of Niagara Community College. The game was a challenge from the opening whistle, as the Thunder stormed out to a dominant 26-12 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. By halftime, the Triceratops were down by 19, and the Thunder exploded in the second half to secure a lopsided victory.

The offense once again proved to be the Achilles' heel for Coach Dion Griffin's squad. "We have to score points," said Coach Griffin. "I cannot emphasize this enough," reflecting on his team's ongoing struggles at the offensive end. The Triceratops were plagued by 24 turnovers, managed just nine three-point attempts, and shot only 37% from the field. Tyairah Flowers was the lone double-digit scorer for the team, finishing with 11 points. Jayleena Bauzo led the team with seven rebounds, while Hazely Wagner dished out a team-high five assists, but it was not enough to overcome the Thunder's dominance.
