SUNY Niagara shot 59 percent from the field and had eight players in double figures as it knocked off visiting Cuyahoga Community College, 104-58, in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 18 in the most recent NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 21-3 overall. Tri-C dropped to 7-14.
Freshman Atarah Walker went a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor on her way to a game-high 16 points. Sophomore Makayla Thomas had 15 points and seven assists, freshman Kierra Kline contributed 14 points off the bench and classmate Isabella Karabetsos finished with 13 points, 11 assists and four steals.
Also for the Wolves, sophomore Krystal Smith had 12 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, classmate Anaya Smith added 12 points and six boards and freshman Ava Bull had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Rachel Kamrowski chipped in 10 points as well.
SUNY Niagara returns to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a key Western New York Athletic Conference game at Monroe Community College.
