Tops Pick Up First OCCAC Win on Sophomore Night Over Lakeland

In front of a raucous home crowd fueled by the attendance of the Men's and Women's Basketball teams, the Tops avenged a Wednesday night loss to rival Lakeland, 3-0.

The team came out on fire but the sets were all tight as the Tops prevailed, 25-21, 25-21, 25-22.

Jynx Bretz would not let the team down as she statted 15 kills on the night.  Imani Hendon set the table all night long with great setting and ended up with 22 assists and defensively, Bretz (9 digs), Makenzi Thompson (10 digs) and Mackenzie Langford (21 digs) were all over the court.  Thompson added 8 kills as well.

This was the final home game of the Tops season and now they will take to the road for the remaining four games starting Wednesday night with a trip to Owens.

The Tops move to 3-11 on the season and 1-7 in OCCAC play.
