The Triceratops Softball team Powers Through to an Eight-Game Winning Streak
The Triceratops softball team is on an impressive roll, having won 13 of their last 14 games, including an eight-game winning streak that highlights their dominance on the field. This remarkable stretch has not only solidified their place as a formidable contender but has also garnered national attention, as the team now sits just outside the top 25, receiving votes for inclusion in the rankings.
Julee Phillips continues to shine as a key player, earning Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season. Her stellar performances on the mound have been a driving force behind the team's success, showcasing her ability to deliver under pressure. Meanwhile, Isabelle Kepple (Izzy) has been nothing short of exceptional at the plate, ranking in the top five nationally with a remarkable .590 batting average. Her 18 hits during the streak have been crucial to the team's offensive surge.
The team's offensive power has been equally impressive, outscoring their opponents 75-15 over the past eight games. Tabetha Thomas has been a standout contributor, driving in 12 RBIs, while Gabriella Nieves has crossed the plate 10 times, providing the team with consistent production throughout the lineup.
"We've come a long way," said Head Coach Bryan Komlos. "Our challenging early schedule has really prepared us for conference play, and it's evident in how the team has been performing. We're in a great position at 15-5 overall and 8-0 in conference play, but we're not slowing down. The goal is to keep pushing forward and finish strong."
With their impressive record and the momentum of their current streak, the team looks poised to continue their success, both in conference play and beyond. The future is bright for this talented group as they continue to make a statement on the field.
