MBK: Tops Clinch Regional Berth, defeat Titans, 83-68

The Tri-C Men's Basketball team defeated the Terra State Titans on Saturday afternoon at the Metro Gymnasium, 83-68 to win their 22nd game of the season (22-7 overall, 11-4 in OCCAC).

The Tops had four players in double digits led by Howard Jeffries with 20 points.  Also in double digits were: Marcos Vazquez with 16, Ezra Mckee with 15 and Devonte Greene with 11.  The only double digit rebounder was 6'0 guard, Manny Hill with 13 boards to lead the team. Vazquez dished out 7 assists to pace the Tops.

With the win, the Tops have now clinched a spot in the NJCAA Region XII tournament for the 2nd straight year.  They will conclude their regular season at home next Saturday as they host Clark State at 1 pm.  It is sophomore day and all fans are encouraged to stay for the 3 pm women's game as they will be playing for at least a share of the OCCAC Championships which would be the first women's basketball title since 1991.
