MBK Wrap Up: Tops Split pair of OCCAC Games

The Men's Basketball team won one and lost one last week as they defeated Terra State on the road, 78-54 but fell to Hocking 86-75.
In the win against Terra, the Tops were led by Marcos Vasquez who scored 26 points to go along with 5 assists and 7 rebounds. Also in double digit scoring were: Devonte Greene with 16, Manny Hill with 13 and Howard Jeffries with 10. Greene also added 12 rebounds.
In the loss against Hocking, the Tops had four players in double figures, led by Howard Jeffries with 18. The others were: Marcos Vasquez with 16, Devonte Greene with 15 and Manny Hill with 12. Greene added 10 rebounds and Vasquez added 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Hill also had 9 rebounds.
The Tops are now 15-6 on the season but only 4-3 in the OCCAC. They currently sit in 5th place and will need to get in the top 3 to qualify for a second straight year for regionals.
