MBK: Tops Move to 8-1 with 90-78 win over Hocking

The Tri-C Men's Basketball team moved to 8-1, 1-0 in the OCCAC with a 90-78 victory over the visiting Hocking Hawks on Wednesday night in front of a raucous crowd.  The Tops were led by unlikely hero, Donovan Coffey, who came off the bench to score 21 points and grab 8 rebounds.  Coffey electrified the crowd and the Tops by going 8/15 from the field and flying all over the court.  Other Tops in double figures were: Ezra McKee (14 pts), Manny Hill (14 pts.), Devonte Greene (10 pts.) and Howard Jeffries (14 pts.).

Coffey and Greene led the Tops with 8 rebounds each, while Clayton Cunningham chipped in 7 boards.  Manny Hill distributed 4 assists.

The Tops will host Delta College (MI) on Saturday afternoon at the Metro gym as the opener of a doublheader at 1 pm.  The 5-2 WBK team will take the court at 3 pm for their game.  As always, admission is free so come on out.  Tops games will be livestreamed on the Tri-C Youtube page.
