MBK: Tops Open Season with 127-67 Romp

The Tri-C Men's Basketball Team coming off a 24-7 season a year ago, opened the season at the Macomb Tip Off Tournament with a 127-67 over CBG Prep.  The team was able to play almost the entire roster and had seven players in double digits led by Ramir Bledsoe with 24.  Also hitting double digits were:  Manny Hill (13), Devonte Green (14), Ezra McKee (10), Jayden Wilson (10), Clayton Cunningham (15), and Howard Jefferies (12).  Cunningham also chipped in 7 assists and 9 steals to lead the Tops in those categories while Davonte Demianov led the team with 7 boards.

Things will get much tougher for the Tops on Saturday as they will take on the host Macomb Monarchs who finished as the NJCAA Division II National Runnerup last season.  The Tops and Macomb faced off last season in this same venue with Macomb eking out a narrow 68-66 victory.  You can tune in to watch live on Macomb Monarchs - YouTube
