Tri-C Men's Basketball now 10-2 after 77-60 defeat of Owens CC

The Tri-C men's basketball team extended their win streak to two games with a strong performance against the  Express of Owens Community College 77 – 60. The Tops continue to find different ways to win and this game proved the strength of the roster.  The Tops trio of double digit scorers was led by Tyishawn Smiley's 18 points and 11 rebounds.  Devin Haid 15 points, and Jamail Spivey 12 points while Manny Hill had 11 rebounds!

The Tops went back and forth with the Express in the first half and took a 33 – 26 lead to the locker room.  Coach Nixon once again worked his magic during the break.  The second half saw the Tops set the tone defensively.  Nekhi Smith had 4 blocks that helped in that effort, while Patrick Gale's 6'10 presence in the paint once again caused havoc in the paint.

The men have six days off before they venture to Mott College for a holiday tournament against Alpena Community College 16 December, and Mott Community College on 17 December 2022.  The Mott Bears are currently ranked #20 in the country with a perfect 8 – 0 record. The men's next home game will be on 9 January 2023.
