Triceratops Win Game Two 6-3, Extend Streak to Seven

After a dominant offensive performance in game one (22-12 win), the Triceratops pitching staff stepped up in game two, surrendering just one earned run in seven innings. The duo of Johnathan Bircher (1-0) andKyle Figuray combined for three hits allowed and 14 strikeouts, shutting down the Blue Streaks' offense.

While game one featured a hitting explosion, game two showcased the Triceratops' versatility, with the pitchers stifling John Carroll's batters. Bircher and Figuray threw five scoreless innings combined, helping extend the team's win streak to seven.

The Triceratops offense remained productive, with Jackson Boles and Bryce Brittan both collecting two hits. Brock Miller and Joey Lehner each drove in two RBIs, while Adam Rich crossed the plate twice. "It wasn't the barrage we saw in game one, but our pitchers showed we are not one-dimensional," said Coach Kyle Stahlberg.

The team looks to keep the momentum going as they return to conference play, hosting Lorain Community College at Ron Mottl Field on Friday, March 14, 2025. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m. for the first game of a doubleheader.
