The Triceratops wasted no time making a statement in game one of today's doubleheader, exploding for seven runs in the first inning and cruising to a 16-6 victory over the Lorain Commodores. With the win, the Triceratops improved to 3-5 on the season and opened conference play with a 1-0 record.

Pat Ferrell set the tone early, going 2-for-2 with three runs scored, two RBIs, and a pair of doubles. Adam Rich also had a strong performance at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with three runs, two walks, and two RBIs.
