Triceratops sweep Commadores

Ethan Elbert pitched four innings and sent 11 Commanders down as he recorded 11 strikeouts in the second game of the chilly double-header. Elbert walked one batter and did not give up a run as the Triceratops earned a game two 7-2 victory over visiting Lorain County Community College.

The offense got going early with three runs in the bottom of the second. The Triceratops scored another two in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings respectively.

Kohan Merritt had two hits, while Kyle Fiquray drove in three runs along with three stolen bases. Although the Triceratops only recorded six hits, the pitching was magnificent and kept the Commodores off balance. Mason Wolf recorded 4 strikeouts in relief and helped the Triceratops record a total of 11 strikeouts.
