Inconsistency Grounds Jayhawks in 102-76 Loss

JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's basketball started slow in their 102-76 loss to Cuyahoga Community College, and the Jayhawks couldn't get out of the hole.

The Jayhawks fell behind 14-3 before all the fans had taken their seats, with Cuyahoga being up 11 just four minutes into the game.

JCC moved within seven later in the half on a three from Marcus Wynter, who finished the game with 14 points.

The deficit would sell to 17 before a Robert Russel three settled things down for Jamestown. Russel led Jamestown with 17 on the night.

Even with the good shooting from beyond the arc JCC trailed 53-40 at the break.

Jamestown drew as close as they would after a Federico Foddai three saw a 61-49 deficit. The Italian ended the game with 16.

Cuyahoga clamped things down on their end from there, outscoring JCC 30-16 to close the game.

The Jayhawks' 26-point loss knocks them back to 4-13 on the season.

JCC returns home on Tuesday, January 14th, at 6:00 PM when they host Mohawk Valley Community College.
