OCCAC Athlete of the Week: Kohan Merrit

Kohan Merrit has been named OCCAC athlete of the week for the week of April 21-27.

Merrit, a freshman shortstop, has a .420 batting average, has scored 61 runs and has 46 RBI this season. For the week of April 21-27, the OCCAC reports: 

Merritt had arguably the week’s most impressive overall performance, connecting on eight extra-base hits (five doubles, a triple and two home runs) during a 6-0 week for the Triceratops. He slugged north of 1.000 and contributed directly to 21 runs (11 RBI, 10 runs scored) as Cuyahoga extended its winning streak to 38 games and clinched the 2025 OCCAC regular season championship.
