Unbreakable: Win Streak Soars to 38 as Team Eyes Postseason Glory

The momentum continues to build as the Triceratops swept its latest doubleheader at Bryant & Stratton on 27 April 2025. In commanding fashion, pushing its historic win streak to 38 games and maintaining an undefeated conference record. With the postseason looming, the squad is peaking at exactly the right time and making it clear they're a force to be reckoned with.

In Game 1, the Triceratops overpowered the Bobcats with an 11-4 win, powered by a balanced attack on both sides of the ball. Vinny Gallaher (1-0) earned the win on the mound, striking out six over a composed outing. He was backed up by Ethan Ebert, who turned in a stellar relief performance with 2.1 hitless innings and three strikeouts, shutting the door on any hopes of a comeback.

The bats stayed hot throughout the lineup. Pat Farrell delivered a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including a home run in the top of the first that ignited the offense early. Kohan Merritt continued his extra-base streak with two doubles, scoring twice and driving in a run. Brendan Hazuda chipped in with two hits, including a double, and two runs scored, while Joey Lehner added two hits, a double, and two RBIs in a well-rounded offensive effort.

Game 2 showcased more fireworks, headlined by Kohan Merritt's towering grand slam in the top of the fifth, which blew the game wide open and capped off another dominant performance. Merritt has five home runs on the season, with a whopping four being grand slams! The Bobcats never recovered. Merritt finished the game with two hits, four RBIs, and two runs scored, continuing his stellar stretch of clutch hitting.

Joey Lehner stayed hot with two more hits, Vinny Gallaher helped his cause with two hits and two runs scored, and Justin Thelsen put together a 3-hit game with two RBIs.

As the wins pile up, the team remains locked in and focused on the bigger picture.

"This group is playing with confidence, maturity, and a team-first mentality that's rare to find," said Head Coach Kyle Stahlberg. "We're proud of the streak, of course, but our sights are set on postseason baseball. That's where we want to prove just how good we can be."

With momentum, depth, and a championship mindset, the team heads into the final stretch of the regular season looking every bit the contender they've proven to be all year. The streak stands at 38, but the mission isn't over.
